Careyes located in Highway 200, is a pleasant 2 1/2 drive south of Puerto VAllarta and only a little over an hour north of Manzanillo International Airport. Luxury car service and taxis are available at both airports but a rental car is recommended for you stay in Careyes in order to explore the very interesting surronding areas. in addition, private small airplane charters operate betwen the Puerto VAllarta International Airport and a 4,000 ft grass landing strip near Careyes in Chamela.
