The Francis Hotel - MGallery rests in the heart of the historic city of Bath. This boutique and distinctive hotel occupies seven of the original 18th Century townhouses of the prestigious Queen Square, offering guests a glimpse of history. As a member of the MGallery Hotel collection, you can expect a luxury, unique and memorable stay. With 98 luxury bedrooms, all individually styled with four-poster beds and glorious views of the city, you'll struggle to find a more relaxed setting.

We had a fantastic stay here. The rooms are lovely, and we were very fortunate to get a free upgrade. The staff couldn't do enough for us, and breakfast was great. Only downside was the very low ceiling above the shower - I'm not tall and my head was scraping the roof - and a couple of missed hairs in the bathroom.

A really luxurious hotel in such a good location. service was very good, especially the extremely helpful receptionist and our superior room lived up to its name. There is a car park which is charged at £17.50 per day at the back but it is limited. However, this is a bonus for Bath. We cannot wait to return.

The hotel looks great and is in a great location in the centre of Bath. The staff are very helpful and professional. The service they offer is great. The room we stayed in was very nice and had a lot of little touches which made the stay very welcoming. What was great is the house keeping service they have in the evening asking if you need anything. The breakfast was very good and really enjoyed. The only negative point I can bring up, is that the hall light shines under the room door is very bright. I only say this as I am a light sleeper. The second night I put some pillows by the door which worked.

After a disappointing Airbnb booking we made a last minute reservation at the Francis Hotel and were extremely impressed. The hotel has a real feel to it rather than the chain hotels that always seem so sterile. Upon entering the hotel we were met by Matthew at reception, who I must say excels in his job, he could not be more accommodating and is an asset to the hotel. We stayed in the Jane Austin superior suite which was fabulous and had everything we needed for a much enjoyed stay. Would definitely return and recommend.

Absolutely lovely hotel. Exquisitely friendly staff. Nice food, perhaps with the slight exception of the coffee. Rooms depend a bit on location - there are smaller ones that are still nice, but the more spacious ones are particularly pleasant. All well appointed and clean, partly with a boutique hotel touch and lovely prints evoking the history and life of Bath. Nice neat bathrooms with the Ancient Roman Bath depicted on the shower wall. Lovely overall atmosphere in the hotel, very zen and calm, the perfect match to your Bath Spa experience.
