Matakana Country Lodge is situated a one hour drive from Auckland CBD 5 minutes drive from Warkworth Town Centre and 5 minutes from Matakana Village. The Lodge is built on a ridge in the foothills of the Dome Valley surrounded by native bush reserve and overlooking the Matakana Valley and beyond to Little and Great Barrier Islands.There are 3 guest rooms all with private en suites. Each room is unique well appointed and named after a blend of wine. We thought it only fitting considering we are located in the heart of the Matakana wine region. From 01 December through to Easter the outdoor pool is heated to between 28 – 30 degrees. There is also a spa pool for guests to enjoy. The TV lounge is fitted with a 52” flat screen Sky TV and My Sky that contains a selection of movies should you want a quiet night in.Matakana and the surrounding area offer a wide range of activities and attractions including boutique vineyards golf courses Morris and James Pottery Goat Island Marine Reserve and ferries to Kawau Island's Mansion House to name a few. There are numerous cafes pubs and restaurants to choose from
