We had a wedding block at Inn by the Sea and Annemarie and staff were more then accommodating for all our guests! The rooms were clean, parking was easy and accessible, and all our guests were greeted with smiles. Annemarie was so informative, helpful and so sweet throughout the whole wedding block process that I highly recommend the Inn by the Sea for any wedding (or any stay) in La Jolla. 10/10

Nicely decorated lobby. Helpful employees and the rooms were decent. Nothing spectacular, but we spent little time inside. Close to the beaches and the sea lions were in cubbing season so the babies were all on the rocky shore south of the hotels location. Nice pier to walk out on with a kids beach also nearby.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location worked well for us to walk and bus around. The rooms were nicely furnished and decorated. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. Overall, we enjoyed our 5 day stay at this inn.

Overall I loved the location of the hotel, super close to a bunch of great restaurants as well as numerous beaches. Makes getting around La Jolla super easy on foot. My room was overall nice and even had two patios! However the patio furniture looked like it was a bunch of cast offs from other rooms, mismatched and no pairs of furniture. I also found it odd that a hotel so close to the beach wouldn’t offer beach towels for use. However, the worst part was that over the course of my 5 day stay, the room was never cleaned. On day four I finally went to the front desk on my way out for the evening and told them my room wasn’t cleaned since checking in, meaning I needed new towels. They handed me a stack of towels to bring back up to my room myself, and seemed completely unfazed by the lack of cleaning. Saw the housekeeper near the room on the way back out, but still upon return had not been cleaned. Very disappointing as this is one of the biggest reasons people choose to stay at hotels.

We stayed 6 nights at this hotel with my family of 5. The room and space was great and enough for us. It looks clean as well. They don't tell you beforehand, but you have to pay extra to get on the second floor or up. Otherwise, you are stuck in first floor with parking or pool view. EXTRA FEE FOR PARKING AS WELL. The pool is really great to use at any time because it always has warm water. The guest room also has everything you need to get snacks or more. However, the room and front desk service is bad. On our first day, the restroom clogged, and we called Daniel at the front desk to help us get service to fix it. He brought us a plunger and told us to unclog it ourselves because there was nobody for room service and it was not his job. He left saying he would come back after looking for someone to help, and never came back to check if it was fixed or to help any more. He just ignored it. Overall, the location helped us get to many restaurants which was convenient for us, but our experience with the room/front desk service was really bad.
