Our family recently stayed for two nights and from the start, Everyone ( Front Desk, restaurant, Cafe, Pool/Sauna/Fitness, in-room service) we met were very friendly & welcoming but SPECIAL shut out to Crystal & Rea (Front Desk), who very promptly and efficiently resolved an issue with our reservations. Thank you to managers, Stephan & Troy for their attentive service & follow ups. The staff at FATHOM restaurant were well informed; we thoroughly enjoyed their suggestions & our dinner was delicious. Kudos to the Chef for his creativity and ingenious blend of flavours. We tried 3 appetizers, 3 entres & 1 dessert: all superb! So well done too, in the breakfast menu, some unique offerings we wished we had more days to try them. The restaurant is a definite repeat. Our room was very pleasant with a beautiful Harbour view + balcony + 2 queen super-comfy beds & a fun-swivelling reading chair. It’s very apparent that room has been recently renovated & kept extremely clean throughout. As mentioned by many, the pool, fitness centre, sauna & steam room are a nice bonus —especially on wintry February days. Lastly, hotel’s location and harbour views are top-notch. Definitely will come back to stay!

I used stayed at the Empress for so many years roughly about 4ish years ago I decided to try something new so I checked out Hotel Grand Pacific. Turn out I love it so much better than the Empress! The Hotel Grand Pacific is now the place to stay when I m in Victoria.
The reason why I like it much better than the Empress is rooms are more spacious and it has a balcony looking out at the harbor. If your room is to the east you will have a view of the harbor and the Empress. If your room is to the west then you will see the Black Ball ferry Terminal, the west side of the harbor, and the cascade. Their lobby is nice but in my opinion, I liked the Empress lobby better. this hotel also has good insulation because we couldn't hear all the crazy noises outside so that was pretty nice. All the staff here are sweet, kind, and friendly. They made me feel at home. The location is phenomenal! Next to the Parliament building and across from the ferry!

Was very happy with this hotel. Super clean. Room was very nice and comfortable. Front desk staff were great and cafe had great options. Location was perfect. Across the street from the ferry terminal and right in the middle of the waterfront area. Would absolutely stay here again.

This hotel exceeded all expectations! We went for our anniversary, and we were blown away. Perfect location for walking everywhere, especially from clipper ferry. We had the Victoria suite, and it was well worth it. Stunning room, incredible bathroom, the closed bedroom with French doors was so romantic and peaceful, slept very well in the bed. Patio had a BEAUTIFUL view. Do NOT miss out on the pool/sauna/steam room/hot tub either. Breathtaking. We were so happy and We will absolutely be back!

Our tour booked us here, but I would say they did great. The rooms and beds were great. Loved the system where you just pushed a button if you did or did not want your room made up. Breakfast was the best on our tour across Canada. Loved all the lobby places to set and visit. Location was very convenient.
